HD2 provided architectural & interior design services for three separate Apple A Day Café locations within Morristown Medical Center (in Morristown, New Jersey) – one in the children’s hospital, one in the cardiovascular center and one in the sports health building. Inside Apple a Day Café, warm neutral colors (browns with touches of red & green to evoke the “apple” brand) and natural materials,
such as wood, were used to create an authentic and soothing environment fitting of both the café itself and the hospital in which it is located. The wood planks seen throughout the space come from recycled apple crates and will be used in all future Apple a Day locations – helping to reinforce the café’s brand image. Furniture specification and lighting design were also provided for each location.
